By registering for any class or workshop on this website, I hereby release Florida School of Holistic Living, Inc. (501c3) and the owners of the location of this class from any liability as a result of my attendance in this course, participation in its activities, or consumption of any plant materials herein.
Further, I hold harmless FSHL, Inc. from any liability in relation to course material. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for how I choose to use the information presented within this class, that it should be used as historical and cultural information, and that it should not replace the guidance of a qualified health professional.
All classes require tuition to be paid in order to confirm your seat in the course. If a course has reached the maximum number of students, an unpaid registrant’s tentative seat will be given to a paid registrant on our waiting list.
For our Roots of Herbalism program, if a cancellation is received more than 14 days prior to the class, the total tuition paid less a $40 administrative fee is refundable. If a cancellation is received within 14 days of the class, 50% of the total tuition paid less a $40 administrative fee is refundable. Without exception, no refunds will be granted within 24 hours of when a course begins. No refunds are provided on our Home Study course once it has been mailed to a student.
For our Family Herbalist & Community Herbalist programs, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required to register. For these courses, if a cancellation is received more than 14 days prior to the class, the total tuition minus the $200 deposit and a $40 administrative fee is refundable. If a cancellation is received within 14 days of the class, 50% of the total tuition minus the $200 deposit and a $40 administrative fee is refundable. Without exception, no refunds will be granted within 24 hours of when a course begins.
Tuition paid on all other workshops is nonrefundable within 7 business days of the class. Another student may use your space and your tuition for the class, but tuition cannot be transferred or refunded. Individual workshops and courses may have additional cancellation policies; consult the class description upon registration for additional information.
Tuition for Special Events: Refunds are only available if cancellation notification is received more than 7 days prior to the start of the event. The refund amount is based on the paid registration amount minus a $40 administrative fee. If a cancellation is received within 7 days of the event, 50% of the total paid registration minus the $40 administrative fee is refundable. Cancellations within 24 hours of the start of the class will not be eligible for any refund.
Tuition for Florida Herbal Conference 2023: Registration is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Refunds will not be available unless the event is fully cancelled by the host organization. If the 2023 conference cannot be held in person due to unforeseen circumstances, an emergency, or a public health crisis, we will shift to a virtual conference if at all possible. Registrants will automatically be registered for the virtual version of the conference and they will receive a 50% refund of 2023 registration fees. Meal plans and cabin lodging will be fully refunded. Please know that this policy only exists in case of extreme circumstances.
Some courses require a minimum student registration to be held. FSHL reserves the right to cancel courses and refund full tuition to registrants.

We will review your request for an exception submitted by email only, and we will reply promptly after review. We cannot process tuition refunds or transfers by voicemail. All decisions for refund will be minus $10 nonrefundable processing fees incurred by FSHL.
