All of our classes, unless otherwise noted, are available and accessible to everyone – whether you are an experienced herbalist, a budding herbalist, or simply herb-curious. Everyone is welcome.
3 CEUs are available to Massage Therapists, Dietitians, Nurses & Midwives in the state of Florida through CE Broker for students who successfully complete the course through attendance and submission of assignments. Supplement Savvy—Choosing the Best Quality Supplements
We have a choice of where to get our supplements. For herbalists, the ideal choice is often wildcrafting in your local natural habitat. However, there are times when we may wish to use a commercially available herb or nutraceutical. Join me on January 22, 2023 to learn how to make informed choices about what, when, and where to buy.
What you’ll learn in this class:
- Herb Label Reading—tincture or extract?
- Dried Herb Equivalent?
- Best time to take different kinds of vitamins and minerals;
- Which supplements to take together or separately to support absorption;
- Additives- Mag Stearate, Benzoate?
- Best and worst forms of EACH supplement;
- GMO status of supplements.
Learn the “rules-of-thumb” about the best way to use different kinds of herbs, vitamins, minerals and nutraceuticals. Topics that can be legally discussed with clients in a practice versus a store setting; such as nutrients that are documented to be depleted when using particular pharmaceuticals, and the importance of repletion.
Open to all levels from beginner to advanced.

Ellen Kamhi, PhD, RN, AHN-BC, RH(AHG), The Natural Nurse®, is a wildcrafting intuitive herbalist and is adept at radionics and dowsing. She is a mentor with AHG (American Herbalist Guild), and takes herbalists through the process of becoming a Certified Registered Herbalist RH(AHG).
